REQUIREMENTS

  • Provide support as needed to a production operation.
  • Be proficient in the use of measuring instrumentation – VOM, ammeter, oscilloscope, etc.
  • Have a working knowledge of AC, DC, stepper & servo motors, drives and controllers.
  • Be proficient troubleshooting circuits with power supplies, relays, motors, drives and various field devices such encoders, resolvers, micro switches, potentiometers, sensors (inductive, capacitive & photoelectric), etc.
  • Must understand fuse types and usages.
  • Be proficient in modifying schematics as needed to reflect changes.
  • Be proficient in generating from scratch schematics for small panels.
  • Have a working knowledge of panel building for small capital projects.
  • Be able to make breadboard simulations as needed.
  • Comply with NEC and OSHA standards for all installation assignments.
  • Be comfortable working with voltages up to 480vac and up to 180vdc
  • Provide guidance to electricians and other outside contractors when needed for machinery and facility support.
  • Component level troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of PLC programming is also a plus.
