Senior Associate Engineer

What You’ll Do:

· Project Leadership: Serve as Project Manager, overseeing project budgets using Deltek software and Newforma, ensuring timely completion while maintaining high-quality standards.

· Client Engagement: Act as the primary client contact, developing and nurturing strong client relationships.

· Project Coordination: Manage pricing, estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects, ensuring alignment with client goals.

· Contract Administration: Oversee compliance throughout the project lifecycle and manage contract details effectively.

· Technical Analysis: Analyze maps, surveys, and aerial photographs to inform project planning and design, and provide construction cost estimates.

· Site Monitoring: Conduct site visits to ensure adherence to project specifications and compliance with contract documents.

· Quality Assurance: Ensure completion of QA/QC forms for deliverables, promoting a culture of quality within the team.

· Documentation Management: Prepare and oversee reports, specifications, plans, environmental studies, and project schedules.

· Funding Applications: Prepare applications for permits, funding, and other planning documentation.

· Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior staff, fostering team cohesion and professional development.

What We’re Looking For:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.

· Experience: 5-10 years of post-graduate engineering experience; equivalent experience considered.

· Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license in California preferred; minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Associate Civil Engineer (post-PE) or equivalent.

· Skills: Strong skills in marketing, proposal writing, and business development preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD, other CAD programs, Deltek, and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

· Communication: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills.

· Leadership: Ability to mentor and lead junior staff while managing project pressures and deadlines effectively.

· Field Readiness: Valid driver’s license and good driving record for field visits and client meetings.
