We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator with a minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in commercial interiors, specifically office fit-outs, corporate interiors, and related sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating within a construction company environment, not solely an estimating firm.
Responsibilities:
- Estimate costs for commercial interiors projects, specializing in office, healthcare, retail, hospitality, and educational sectors.
- Conduct thorough analysis and interpretation of project specifications and drawings.
- Utilize industry-standard software and tools for accurate and detailed cost estimation.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bids.
- Maintain updated knowledge of market trends, material costs, and subcontractor rates.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and presentations for prospective projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7-10 years of construction estimating experience, with a focus on commercial interiors.
- Extensive background in office interior fit-outs, corporate interiors, and related sectors.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools; familiarity with Procore is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to work within a 30-mile radius of Manhattan, NY.
