The A/P & Payroll Manager holds primary responsibility for overseeing both Payroll and Accounts Payable functions while actively contributing to the development of the financial controls and reporting system.

Payroll

This role will also own the Bi-Weekly Payroll Function which includes:

  • Gathering of timesheets thru HH2 Software
  • Processing payroll thru Paychex
  • Downloading and Transferring Payroll to Timberline (Our Construction Accounting Software)
  • Posting for 180 employees
  • Assist in implementation of new payroll software (Paylocity)

Accounts Payable

  • Assist Accounts Payable Manager with daily entering of AP thru Timberscan.
  • Help with credit card expenses and other AP tasks assigned.

CORE FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and integrate a system of controls and financial reporting.
  • A disciplined professional manager and team player possessing good organizational skills, systems, and interpersonal skills.
  • A solid understanding of construction projects.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This individual will assist the CFO with activities related to the control reporting for all construction processes.
  • Interface with all divisions of the company.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the Month End and Year End Closings.
  • Assist in preparing month-end financial package and schedules including Work in Process, etc.
  • Assist in developing and managing Information Systems for the Accounting Department.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years job-related experience.
  • Ability to manage through conflict, complexity and to problem-solve issues to resolution.
  • Ability to comfortably communicate, both verbally in presentation and conversation, and written in correspondence to the project team, vendors, consultants, prospects, and partners.
  • Ability to adapt to change, establish relationships, and work in a team environment.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

  • Problem Solver Working Knowledge of Construction accounting software (Sage 300 CRE) such as Timberline or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Payroll.
  • Tireless work ethic.
  • Professionalism/Ethics Responsibility/Credibility.

DESIRED QUALIFICATION: BS in Accounting.
