Position overview
Responsibilities of the Finance team include finance and accounting, taxation, treasury, customer and supplier settlement, and payroll. This position will be assigned specific responsibilities within the Finance team, as well as work collaboratively with the balance of the Finance team to support the business needs of the organization.
The Senior Accountant will report to one of the company’s Regional Controllers.
Primary job functions
The primary job functions of the Senior Accountant will vary from business unit to business unit but typically include the following:
Preparing general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries for the month-end close, including reconciliation of inter-company activities
Ensuring proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606; including completed contract, subscription, and percentage of completion method of accounting
Assisting the inventory management group in proper tracking of inventory receipts, consumption, and valuation
Reviewing and reconciling third-party financing and customer invoicing
Assisting in ensuring timely and accurate supplier and employee settlement activities
Support additions, transfers, and disposals of fixed and right of use assets within the company’s asset and liability tracking tools
Assisting the regional controller and financial planning & analysis team in understanding of account activity and variances from budget
Assisting in the periodic forecasting and budgeting process
Participating in the response to inquiries from management, auditors, and regulatory agencies
Assisting the risk and compliance group in commercial and regulatory requirements
Supporting initiatives to drive standardization and optimization of activities within the Finance team
Assisting the integration team in the integration of acquired businesses
Skills and attributes
Attributes and experiences that will support achieving success in the role include:
Knowledge of GAAP and a commitment to evaluating and understanding relevant evolving guidance
Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams), as well as a commitment to advanced learning of relevant areas of the company’s CRM and ERP technology
Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form and to collaborate effectively and positively with team members
Capable of working independently and ability to problem solve

This position requires frequent interaction both in person and virtually with other team members in the organization. As such, the role will be expected to be fulfilled primarily from the office. Team members are allowed to work remote from time to time but only in situations where the team member has adequate internet bandwidth, and the team member can achieve productivity requirements.
The Finance team operates from multiple locations. While we expect travel for the Senior Accountant role to be less than 5% annually, the employee may be asked to attend meetings or work for brief periods of time in other locations.
