Our Austin, Texas client is a leading provider of Preventative Maintenance Program Management for the Pulp and Paper Industry. Their dedicated team of experts is committed to helping their clients optimize their operations, reduce downtime, and maximize profitability through innovative and customized solutions.

We are currently seeking an experienced Paper Reliability Engineer to join their growing team working remotely from anywhere in the US. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong background in the Pulp and Paper Industry, and a deep understanding of the mechanical equipment used in paper mills. As a Paper Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and assisting our clients' customers in assessing, analyzing, and improving the reliability and performance of their mechanical systems, with a focus on Tanks, Pressure Vessels, and Valves.

This position is primarily remote, with 30-50% travel required to client sites across the country. The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with site contacts, and clients, and developing new business opportunities. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel independently are required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry, specifically in reliability engineering or maintenance roles
  • Strong knowledge of Tanks, Pressure Vessels, Valves, and other Mill Mechanical Equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, site contacts, and team members.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing reliability improvements and cost-saving measures.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including ASME, API, and OSHA
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS software
