General Summary
Our client, a leading firm in the architecture and design industry, is seeking a meticulous and organized Project Accountant to join their Accounting team. The Project Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and provide essential support to the accounting group, handling a variety of tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial management.
Essential Duties
- Review and process consultant invoices.
- Resolve outstanding issues with vendors/consultants.
- Process payments for consultants and vendors.
- Review and process billing invoices, addressing any discrepancies.
- Generate field reports.
- Complete project setup and review project budgets for accurate revenue generation.
- Assist the Project Manager and team members as needed.
- Handle special tasks requested by the department and field.
- Process contracts for consultants and clients.
- Prepare deposits and process cash receipts.
- Provide support for all accounting managers as needed.
- Close projects/tasks after completion for revenue earnings.
- Maintain accounts receivable to prevent aging.
Required Skills and Abilities
- MUST have strong project-based accounting experience managing a high number of projects from an accounting perspective.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Proficiency in understanding and communicating complex technical concepts.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred experience with Deltek Vision software.
