A well-established high-end construction management company in Bridgehampton, NY is
currently seeking an experienced controller to join their team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manages and oversees all the general accounting functions, including A/P, A/R, Payroll.
- Supervises office personnel of 3 and oversees all billings and invoicing with both
customers and vendors, including AIA billings, milestone payments, collections, change
orders, and claims. - Supervises part-time employees and consultant on all administrative functions related to
office management, including employee benefits, insurance, business licensing. - Evaluate procedures to improve methods for controlling and reducing costs of overall
operational costs. Proactively enforces standard operating procedures for accurate and
efficient monthly billings. - Works with Project Managers to prepare and manage client contracts,
subcontracts, budgets, and forecasts; close and careful analysis of job actual costs and
committed/projected costs. - Prepares internal financial statements and related analysis on a bi-weekly and monthly
basis. - Coordination of accounting and tax matters with outside accounting firm.
- Address all correspondence received from federal, state, and local agencies
- Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies, banks, and sureties
- Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing process.
- Oversees cash management activities, including monthly reconciliation of all cash and
credit card accounts.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting or Finance from a four-year College or University
- Minimum of five years of prior experience, preferably in the construction industry
COMPUTER SKILLS
- You should have knowledge of QuickBooks, Procore, MS Office.
This is a full-time position with work hours from 8 am-5 pm Monday through Friday. We offer a competitive salary, plus a benefit package.
