The IT System Engineer oversees strategic technical responsibilities, ensuring the design and integrity of customers' software systems. Key tasks include coordinating projects, implementing software solutions, maintaining deep knowledge, and fostering strong client relationships. Primary duties involve technical support, system engineering, documentation, and communication.
Primary Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Provide IT support for Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems.
- Manage virtual environments (Hyper-V, Azure, VMware).
- Design, implement, and support Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Exchange, SharePoint).
System Engineering:
- Engineer and implement customized system solutions.
- Support backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Administer network-level technical services and support cloud solutions.
Documentation and Communication:
- Maintain accurate system documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients on incident progress and changes.
- Conduct system reviews, provide recommendations, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a team and escalate issues when necessary.
- Demonstrate business awareness aligning IT with customer goals.
- Document internal processes and ensure timely entry of time and expenses.

Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT roles.
- Professional certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, ConnectWise CCPA, LabTech LTCP).
- BA/BS in computer science or related field; MBA/MS preferred.
